If you are reading this review because you're looking for a dog trainer/dog walker or dog anything, really, then you can stop looking. Because Ka'nino is without doubt the most incredible, professional, knowledgeable, reliable canine company I have ever worked with. Rosie is my 4th dog rescue dog, and I must have worked with no less than 20 different trainers or companies over the years with my previous dogs, in both Montreal and Toronto. I saw more results after ONE session with Yetro than all of them combined. You'll believe it when you see it, but he really does speak their language. And yes, the dogs obviously adore him and Rosie would wait by the door every morning anxiously waiting for his arrival, but more so, he is an expert in his field and a true professional.

I can’t speak highly enough about Yetro. We called him when our rescue dog Penny started developing problem behaviours. When off leash, she would fixate on squirrels and full on refuse to come when called. She’s the type of dog who was born to run so when we had to switch to leashed walks she got super frustrated and things just got worse. Yetro showed us how to read our dog’s body language and taught us how to use non verbal cues to encourage calm behaviour. It was super interesting to watch her respond to him immediately. He also equipped us with a series of engaging things to do on walks to strengthen our bond. She’s so much happier now. Penny loves running through the woods at top speed, and now she’s in a balanced place and I’m not worried she’s going to take off or go too far. She also walks beautifully on a leash now which is such a relief. Yetro called regularly to hear about our progress which really shows he cares about his clients and wants the best for their dogs.

My wife and I cannot recommend Kanino highly enough. Yetro is an incredibly patient and intuitive trainer and has, over the course of months, worked with our dog, Evie extensively in order to deal with some issues related to anxiety. We adopted our dog from a rescue in northern Ontario and she arrived with a number of issues that required more attention than we were able to provide ourselves. We were initially introduced to Yetro as a trainer who could help us by working with our dog to limit her stress and make her less reactive. In addition to training Evie, Yetro also walks her every day. Even our neighbours have commented on how well behaved and calm our dog is when she is with him. There are no words to describe how pleased my wife and I are with the progress that our dog is made in the time that Yetro has been working with her and we plan to continue with Kanino indefinitely.

Kanino changed not only Rocky’s life but our family’s... another dog trainer had said he may never be able to walk off leash as he was having socialization issues with certain breeds of dogs... the life we imagined as dog owners walking the ravine was in question - thanks to Yetro, Rocky gets to run free through the forest (and gets us out in nature) all of the time with his people pack and his Kanino dog pack. He is so happy - I often think about how close we came to denying him this experience.

Before Yetro came into our lives, Zoe had a tendency to fixate on and chase after squirrels, and she also had inconsistent recall. After we worked with Yetro, Zoe’s recall improved dramatically and her obsession with squirrels has decreased. Overall our relationship with our dog has been improved tremendously due to Yetro’s involvement, and we would highly recommend him.
